Independence Dragon Boat Regatta
On June 1st, 2019 Catch22 and 90 other teams from around the US raced on the Schulykill River in Philadelphia. The schedule for the day was 3 500 meter races - qualifier, semi-final, and final.
With a crew composed of experienced and novice paddlers Catch22 raced with passion and grit. New paddlers felt the rush and intensity of racing while longtime paddlers put their off season training to some good use.
After a day of racing Catch22 placed 5th out of the 91 teams. What a way to start the season.
We are proud of each other and the work we've put in but the training never stops. Although the Catch22 family is growing in numbers and in strength, we are always welcoming new and experienced paddlers.
